Richard Boulton d20f0b4bae Add gst_element_request_compatible_pad and remove gst_element_request_pad.
Original commit message from CVS:
Add gst_element_request_compatible_pad and remove gst_element_request_pad.
Implemented something reasonable for gst_element_request_compatible_pad,
but havn't tested much: it won't work for tee because the pad templates
have no caps, and negotiation is not yet written, so it is assumed that the
tee pads can't connect to anything.

This is gnome-streamer, a framework for streaming media in GNOME. The
fundamental design comes from the video pipeline at Oregon Graduate
Institute, as well as some ideas from DirectMedia. It's based on plug-ins
that will provide the various codec and other functionality. The
interface hopefully is generic enough for various companies (ahem, Apple)
to release binary codecs for Linux, until such time as they get a clue and
release the source.
