gst: don't use volatile to mean atomic
volatile is not sufficient to provide atomic guarantees and real atomics
should be used instead. GCC 11 has started warning about using volatile
with atomic operations.

ipcpipeline: Simplify usage of g_cond_wait_until()
It will return FALSE if a timeout happened. So don't check if we
timed out afterwards, just use the return value.

We are only using read(), write(), memcpy(), strlen() and errno
in ipcpipelinecomm.c. Everything else is glib/gstreamer.
